Snake is just your average genetically engineered super soldier who spent most of his life doing spy work for the US Government. Er—well, that’s not average, is it? Especially considering he’s the clone/son of some guy named Big Boss, and has a twin bother named Liquid (Snake), and… Yikes, Snake’s life is frankly a mess. There’s a little bit of super secret spy nonsense, there’s a little bit of patricide, there’s a little bit of living in Alaska for several years because he deserves a
retirement, fuck you.
And then he gets called out of retirement to put a stop to the nuke machine called Metal Gear that’s happening and along the way he meets this geek named Otacon who helps him put a stop to his own creation. And then they get on a snowmobile and ride into the sunset (Meryl comes too). And then they spend the next several years further working to stop Metal Gear plans falling into the wrong hands (read, literally any hands) ft: heists! Drama! Raiden! Bullshit! Also falling in love!!!!
This is a very abridged explanation of Metal Gear but the important thing is Snake loves his husband Otacon very much and they end up adopting a daughter named Sunny and they work together to save the world via covert ops! Also Snake learned through meeting Otacon that he should give life a second chance! And keep living! Because Living is Important!!! Yells!!!!
“What about MGS4?” Listen I don’t have any concrete idea if it has or hasn’t happened yet but if it did happen they definitely found out a way to fix Snake’s aging problem. Or this is just the universe in which that wasn’t a problem at all. If you don’t know Metal Gear, then don’t fucking worry about it.
