Malos wiki page

bio under the cut!

Malos, taken from a post XC2/XB1 AU where the worlds merged and now he and his siblings are just dicking around and doing shit like answering distress signals for multidimensional problems. Whether he wants to or not.
Aegis. All-powerful being. Could raze countries with a thought and, with his sibling's help, bend universes to his whim. Is here to do bending universe thing. APPARENTLY.
That alone would be bad enough, but then he resonates with Malos, waking him up and immediately sending him to go sow destruction across the planet. Fueled by Amalthus’ hatred for the world and his own apathy, having had no experience making his own decisions seeing as he was Literally Just Born and was previously only an information processing unit, well. Malos destroys. And destroys. And destroys.
Mythra is woken up to stop him, and they fight, and the war reaches its climax over Torna, which Mythra sinks, fatally wounding Malos in the process… Except Aegises can’t die. Somewhere in the next five hundred years, Malos drags himself—broken core crystal and all—back into the world and teams up with Jin, who, after losing everything, is eager to kill the Architect or humanity or himself. He’s not picky.
Malos and Jin literally spend hundreds of years putting their plans slowly into motion, getting to know each other better, working towards the same goals. Jin keeps adopting strays. Malos lets him. And so Torna, the group, is born. And… Maybe Malos doesn’t know how to put words to the fact they become his family, maybe he doesn’t have the words for love, or to articulate how much Jin means to him, but. For Jin, anything.
XC2 kicks off specifically because Malos is searching for Mythra, hoping to steal some of her data to restore his own core. Finding Pyra is a surprise, but that’s fine. What’s not fine is the fact that Rex doesn’t stay dead dead and Pyra slips away from him. Cue several JRPG shenanigans worth of hours in which Malos and the rest of Torna hassle the party, mostly with the goal of capturing Pyra. After a lot of bullshit they succeed long enough for Malos to restore his core, nearly killing Pyra and Mythra in the process, but that ends up not happening due to the? Power of friendship or some shit? Whatever.
After his core is restored it’s just a race to see who can get to god first to kill him. Or, talk with him. Whatever. Malos and Jin win the race by a breath, but—Jin dies to Amalthus, who was also on his way to talk to god, and Amalthus takes not only Jin but the rest of Torna. Pyra and Mythra and the rest of the party kill Amalthus after, granting Malos freedom for the first time in five hundred years.
Of course, it comes when he’s already at the end of his rope, family dead and never really believing in himself anyway. After all, he’s the whole damn reason Jin’s life was hell, isn’t he? He makes to blow himself up and the world along with him, but Pyra and Mythra and co. fight and defeat him. It looks like they kill him, but.
Well, Aegises can’t be killed that easy, can they? By the time the two universes have merged, he’s fine again, if grumpy and not having words to explain his grief for those he lost let alone the fact that he loved them to begin with. But, you know. He’s here to help Alvis out with shenanigans or whatever. Yeehaw. (/sarcasm).
Alvis asks his siblings for a favor. Malos is bullied into helping.⇢ there must be some finesse
Malos shows up briefly at the end to send Kratos Aurion back to his team, where he SHOULD BE. Could his siblings STOP fucking up the plan THEY bullied him into!?⇢ Anna: Reunite with your husband (Mithos can come too)
Malos sends Anna to Team M because like, he doesn't care, he doesn't, but also if Mythra and Alvis get to fuck around with this "carefully" chosen team comp, he can too.⇢ you could say something poetic about the past clinging like a cape or you could just admit nightmares blow and trauma isn't fair
Malos is called over to help with a Dave problem, and since Mythra is shirking responsibility, apparently it falls to Malos. Malos has no idea what he's doing, really, but he manages to talk Dave down from a panic attack without fucking it up? He and Dave bond, a little, while they're at it.
