Dave Strider, from post-Homestuck but also epilogues/ Homestuck 2 are super fake and can't hurt me
Human. Godtier. Meme master. Knight of Time. Age 19.
Dave was raised by his brother, whom he called Bro, and Bro was an abusive shitbag who took a perfectly good child and oh look you gave him PTSD. Bro did it in the name of “training”, but while it granted Dave some sick sword skills, it also made him loathe holding a sword, and terrified of combat. So that’s a whole issue, of which Dave’s only reprieve for several years was the friends he’d made on the internet: John, Rose, and Jade.
And then, SBURB. SBURB is a video game which is more than a video game, known for transporting players into its world in a harsh tradeoff: they live, but their planet dies. Also SBURB Is Kind Of Generally Hostile About Everything. So Dave has to juggle SBURB’s demands, his friends, and also the alien race who is hassling him constantly and either shitting on him for fucking everything up or, in Terezi’s case, helping him. Also Dave is granted by SBURB the Knight Of Time title which allows him to time travel. It’s just one shitty day for Rose, Jade, and John? Yeah, it’s about a million shitty days for Dave. And also Bro dies in there (Dave’s feelings on the matter are complicated) and Dave challenges some of his preconceived notions about being a ""hero"" and what that really means.
They don’t win the game, but rather put it on hold for three years while they fly manually by spaceship to an alternate universe where they can finish the game there instead. Also, did I say spaceship? I meant meteor with a huge space station built in it, where Dave rooms with Rose and several trolls. They’re all shitty horny teenagers. Hormones run wild. Introspection is done. Also dream bubbles are a thing and allow them to interact with doomed timeline ghosts of themselves and their friends and sometimes trolls they never met. Fascinating.
And then they reach the new universe and win the game and honestly other than the conversation Dave has with Dirk (alternate version of Bro who is significantly younger and grew up in different circumstances) it’s basically no substance and not worth exploring in depth. But he and Dirk have a feelings jam and it’s good, man.
Dave comes from Earth C, some three years or so after beating SBURB and creating their new universe and enjoying the spoils of that as they deserve.
(The Epilogues and Homestuck 2 aren’t real and cannot hurt me.)

The team ends up somewhere that promptly drags up bad memories for all of them, but especially Kratos. Dave spends most of this off screen with Riku, and briefly bitching on screen about time travel nonsense.⇢ Team M: Have a feelings jam about boundaries
Kratos brings up his own boundaries regarding being touched, and Dave begrudgingly admits to his own trauma about the matter and then refuses to elaborate.⇢ like super mario backflipping up a flight of stairs

Dave does some bad raps to keep Kratos' mind off of the bullshit he just had to put up with.⇢ Anna: Reunite with your husband (Mithos can come too)
Dave exists in the background, offering to do more stupid raps when Kratos mentions them to Anna.⇢ you could say something poetic about the past clinging like a cape or you could just admit nightmares blow and trauma isn't fair
Dave has a nightmare, and it's all downhill from there. Maybe he overreacts! Maybe he's valid! Trauma's a bitch, and Mythra's shitty metaphors made it clear there was a possibility of Bro being here. Anyway, he has a feelings jam with Malos (weird, touching), and a less successful feelings jam with Anna and Kratos. Affection @ Malos +10.⇢ "what the fuck is a tomato"
